Blake Equipment started in 1927 when Wilson C. Blake, a 26-year-old engineer, began selling commercial hot water and steam generators out of his home in Hartford, CT. In 1967 Dick Cuda purchased Blake Equipment from Wilson Blake and expanded into the pump business in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. In 1992, it expanded into the Northeast with the Acquisition of Aetna Pump. 2003-2006 brought on Fred Cuda as CEO, and this was also the time that Blake Water Systems (BWS) began production of water treatment equipment. Northeast Drill was acquired in 2018 which expanded offering of drill rigs, equipment, and supplies.
In 2022, Headwater Companies acquired Blake Equipment. Today, we serve the Northeast for all their water well, water treatment, wastewater and commercial/industrial needs.
